Prologue
After how well my photos turned out after my first photo session (at least, in my opinion), I was very excited to get back out there to take some more pictures. I snagged myself a 3-pack of Fujicolor 400, and still had one roll of Kodak Gold 200. That’s 144 exposures! At least one of them should turn out good, I thought.
I had three chances to take lots of photos: a trip to see watermills with my Father-in-Law, a trip to a friend’s lake house, and a trip to another friend’s lake house (we actually have yet another friend with a lake house, if you believ it, but I sadly didn’t have any film for that trip). We also took a trip to the local zoo.
Below are some of the better photos. I won’t waste your time with the ones that didn’t turn out. There were some very good photos I took of my daughter, but we’ve made the choice to not put her face anywhere online until she is old enough to make that choice herself.
Mill Trip
Shot on Fujicolor 400.
Lake Trip 1
Shot on Fujicolor 400. I won’t share many of these because they include people, but a couple of them I think are worth the risk.
From my Backyard
Shot on Fujicolor 400.
Zoo Trip Part 1
Shot on Fujicolor 400.
Zoo Trip Part 2
Shot on Kodak Gold-200. Most of the pictures include my daughter’s face, so here’s two good ones without her.
Lake Trip 2
Shot on Kodak Gold-200.
Those last couple with my dog aren’t particularly good shots, but I like the way her face looks in them, so they have sentimental value at least, even if they’re lacking in artistic value.
Conclusion - New Lens
I should mention that the shot of the hillside resort was shot with a new lens of mine, an Auto Chinon 135mm. The shot of the abandoned house on the hill was shot with this same lens. It’s not particularly impressive glass, but it was cheap, and it allows me to see farther, so I like it.
